April 16, 2010 -- The partnership with Tufts Medical Center, announced in December, has already brought Tufts specialists to Brockton for cardiac electrophysiology services.  In coming months, Tufts specialists will be joining Signature Healthcare in sports medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics and bariatric surgery, officials said.

“Our goal here at Tufts is to help (Brockton Hospital) to retain as many patients as possible close to home,” said Ellen Zane, president and CEO of Tufts Medical Center. "Tufts hopes Brockton patients will then choose Tufts for highly specialized treatments that aren’t available in Brockton."
